Beaches Of Tamil Nadu- The Nature's Drama Unfold!

Covelong Beach:

It is an arresting beach offering wonderful experience to tourists. Located around 40 km from Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, this beach offers great opportunities for fishing, swimming and wind surfing. Its white sand is an attraction in itself.

Elliots Beach:

This squeaky clean beach offers peaceful environment and picture-perfect surroundings. Located south of the famous Marina beach, it serves as a fantastic picnic spot. There are several food stalls and small stores where you can indulge in feasting and shopping.

Kanyakumari Beach:

Cocooned in incredible natural beauty, this beach attracts many a tourist every year. It is majestically located at the confluence of the three seas- Arabian sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. The multi-colored sand of the beach is truly fascinating. The Vivekananda Rock amidst sea is another attraction here.

Mahabalipuram Beach:

This historic and breathtaking beach is the perfect place to experience the joy of nature. Its golden sand, swaying palm trees, romantic ambiance and lashing waves never fail to leave tourists spell bound. The most striking feature of this beach is the Rock Cut Temples, which are extremely beautiful.

Marina Beach:

One of the most famed beaches of the state, Marina beach is the second largest beach in the world and largest in Asia.

Rameshwaram Beach

Located in the wonderful Rameshwaram village, this beach holds great religious significance. It is in this village where Lord Rama worshiped Lord Shiva. The beach attracts a great number of tourists offering them opportunities for swimming and sunbathing. You can see exciting marine life here such as starfish, sea cucumber, algae, sea cow etc. There is a beautiful Ramanathaswamy temple near the beach.
