Creating a Home for Your Attraction Marketing Campaign

Attraction marketing, what is it? That was the first question I asked when I saw those words. I looked up several definitions. Like many new marketing phrases, different people defined it differently and sometimes very differently.

Do What Attracts

However, there was a common thread that I could pull out from all the definitions. Do what attracts. For your specific situation, do what attracts your target market.

For web centric businesses, the definition can be further narrowed. Attraction marketing for this group often means the ability to attract people to one of or any and all of their websites.

Go the Extra Mile, Create a Web Home

For even more web centric businesses, attraction marketing means even more. It actually means to make a website a home, a home their visitors will feel comfortable in, secure and free to do as they please.

The concept of a web home, brings to mind a flood of new terms and ideas. It is nothing new, though, I found out. In fact, there are social networks that have a wide variety of virtual rooms for their clients.

To create a web home for your clients, one place to begin is your thought process. Think like a web designer, an interior web designer. Design your homes and rooms to meet the needs and wants of your target markets. For that matter, you might want to consider, web home designs for the whole family.

After you have decided who you will design for, you may want to consider what types of rooms will appeal to them. That is, think dream home. An entertainment room complete with all their favorite audio and videos is one idea. A personal library stocked with their favorite books is another.

Going off the virtual track, another idea is a kitchen staffed with a not-so-virtual chef. A chef who has a home delivery menu that includes every dish from every restaurant in your visitors town.

Match the Dream Home to Your Visitors Demographic

So how to find out more specifics of web homes and rooms that will attract your target market? You can start by asking your clients or potential clients attraction questions. Once that data is gathered, the next step is how to integrate these attractions with your business and their homes. To do that successfully requires that you make your attractions work towards your final goal, the selling of your product or services.

Because a home is very personal, its design must be customized to the needs of the individual. Demographics can help you here. Find out what types of homes your visitors have, how they decorate and what they have in their homes. And, of course, find out any new home decoration trends in the area or demographic youre marketing too.
