The convenience to get everything at your door step has made it hot favorite and online shops in India is the next best quick mall you can visit without stepping out of your house . Today shopping sites in India has attracted a large number of viewers with a great increase of money transaction. Indian people are increasingly getting interested in shopping sites as they can view the product and get instant discounts. The space of Internet has been making human life more and more comfortable with online shopping sites gaining popularity between youngsters.

after the social media revolution, is e-commerce the next big thing in India? Recent reports indicate so. Online retailers have registered an average 18 per cent growth this year, but are they prepared to handle the influx of online shoppers? The year 2012 may come as a year of surprises to cynics of the industry who believe that online shopping cannot become an Indian reality. The argument that is often given is that buying behavior of Indian consumers is non-virtual.

Face book, Twitter, Google Plus and LinkedIn are now an integral part of a brands marketing strategy. Online contests, discount coupons and promo codes are used to get the tech savvy youth hooked on to a brand.

2) There has been a rise in a number of sites that offer daily deals and and discounts.

3) The online Indian consumers spend a large amount of time researching the products and services that they plan to buy online.

4) Travel websites that offer tickets are the backbone of e-commerce in India. More than 80% of the online transactions in India pertain to rail and air tickets.

5) Online insurance policies are big hit with the younger generation as they give them the flexibility to be bought anywhere and anytime.

6) Online shopping in India dominated by men who form over 80 percent of the client base. T only 18 percent of the customers of online goods in India was women.

7) Websites that offer user generated comments and have a huge archive of content are preferred by customers. Also viral marketing campaigns are a huge draw and many companies are using this method to attract customers.
