Cuba, A Luxury Destination At The Chic Travel Market Fair

The launch of the product Cuba as a destination for luxury tourism will be the newness of the tourism fair Chic Travel Market, to be held in Colombia. The destination Cuba has a great potential for luxury tourism due to the All Inclusive hotels in Cuba, which are of high standards and of a wide variety of offerings.

Once the product is presented in this event, Cuba holidays will be placed on top among the most popular tourist destinations for its quality and exclusivity. In the first eight months of the year, the Caribbean island has received two million visitors, which implies an increase of 5.3% compared to 2011, when it took 20 days to achieve that figure.

Canada remains as the leading issuing markets, followed by United Kingdom, Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Spain and Mexico. Among the countries that also send a large number of visitors to the island stand Netherlands, Colombia, Chile, Switzerland and Peru.

The Chic Travel Market 2012, which will take place on October 19, is aimed at entrepreneurs in the tourism industry. In its third version and for the second consecutive, the event will take place in a unique, elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, at the JW Marriott Bogota.

The event will have 50 stands of companies from Puerto Rico, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Colombia, among others. At the event will be presented in exclusive a new guide to Luxury Hotels in the world, Cond Nast Johansens 2013 and the hotel chains Royal and Star.

"For this event we expect about 1,500 attendees and is specially designed to show and expose to travelers demanding the best foreign market on luxury tourism," said Paul Pries, event director and regional inspector for South America hotels Cond Nast.

The fair will feature in his opening, from 9:00 am to noon a breakfast seminar called The Chic Experience, a statement issued by expert panelists who will discuss modern business models focused on the current market of luxury travel and lifestyle in South America. The fair belongs to the Modern Luxury SAS Company, which is designed to promote luxury tourism.

It is supported by the International Air Transporting Association (IATA), an international trade organization that represents 240 airlines comprising 84% of the total air traffic, and by the Cond Nast Johansens, the international travel guide to luxury resorts, hotels and spas, premium type.

The event is the only one of its kind in South America and was copied from a European model with the aim of promoting unknown and innovative products tourism in the region.
