subject: Finding The Best Baby Clothes Leeds [print this page] A friend of mine moved to Leeds a few years ago to study at the university there and then found a great job which she loved. After building her career for a few years, she got married and started a family straight away, now being the proud mother of a gorgeous son and daughter, as well as working. I went to visit her a couple of weeks ago and decided to buy some baby clothes online, since I avoid going into baby clothes shops.
This is not because I have anything against baby clothes stores; it is more a case of me spending so much time and money on gifts whenever I enter a baby clothes shop! Ever since my children were small, I have always loved to buy baby clothes and now that they have grown up, I love buying baby clothes for various nieces and nephews.
A layette is a collection of clothing for a new born child. The term "layette set" is commonly used in the United States to refer to gift sets of baby clothes. Traditionally, women would hand-sew their baby's clothes during their pregnancy. Today "layette" is often used to identify a baby clothing section of a store. The term can also be used for bedding, accessories, and baby care items.
With the promise of not letting me spend too much, I was persuaded to go and look at the baby clothes Leeds had to offer. There is so much choice and the first thing that you need to decide is whether you wish to visit designer baby clothes shops or the high street baby clothes stores. Then when you have decided on the range and the things which you need, be prepared to spend extra on the things which you do not need but just have to have because they are so cute and you know that the child will look lovely in them!
I have found that it is easier to shop for girls than it is for boys. This is due to two reasons; the first being that girls like to receive new clothes and are not too fussy about them, until they become teenagers that is! I have bought clothes for boys and been greeted with a disinterested look, or even cries of oh no, not more clothes!
Secondly, there is so much more variety for girls in terms of clothes as well as accessories. For a boy it is usual to just buy shorts and a t-shirt, whereas for a girl there are so many pretty dresses, skirts, pants, tops, hats, shoes hair accessories and purses. Even from a baby clothes shop, there are so many cute and pretty things to buy for a baby.
