This includes knowing the risks, the downsides, the benefits, and what to expect after the surgery. You should know nearly everything about the procedure, save how to do it yourself, before making a decision. While relatively safe as far as plastic surgery procedures go, it is nonetheless major surgery and it deserves your respect and attention. Choose a doctor who understands the gravity of the situation and is more interested in providing you with information than on selling you something you may not want.
