Travel From Nainital To Delhi

Travelling from Nainital to Delhi is moderately easy as Delhi can be reached by road, rail or air from Nainital. The closest airport to Nainital is Pantnagar and has regular flights to Delhi. From Nainital to airport, taxi services are available which cost about Rs 1,500. The hill town does not have a railway station and the nearest one is Kathgodam station. You can reach Kathgodam by hiring a cab that charges just about Rs. 600. There are also three other nearby stations linked to Delhi which includes Ramnagar, Lal Kuan and Haldwani. Regular bus services from Nainital to Delhi are also available.

Connected to National Highway Number 87, Nainital is at a distance of about 310 kilometers from Delhi. Direct buses of U.P.S.R.T. Corporation (U.P. Govt. Roadways) are available from Nainital to Delhi, Lucknow and major cities of the state. Many deluxe and A/C Volvo buses also run on a regular basis and the ticket costs from Rs 300 to Rs 800. Alternatively, you can also hire an A/C or non A/C taxi from Nainital which will charge in between Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,100 for a round trip. The usual travel time from Nainital to Delhi is 7-9 hours. The time duration may differ based on the traffic, time of the trip (daytime or evening), route and the means of transport.
