Ahmedabad is one of the biggest and fastest growing cities in India. Located in Gujarat state on the western side of India, this city is also called as the Manchester of the East since it is famous for the textile industry. Ahmedabad celebrates all the colorful festivals of Gujarat such as Garba and Navratras.

One of the main tourist attractions in Delhi is the Akshardham Temple dedicated to Swaminarayan. The monuments and other well known buildings of this city represent the wonderful works of Mughals who controlled the place for a very long time.

You can travel from Delhi to Ahmedabad by road, rail and air. There are a number of economy flights such as SpiceJet, Indigo, Go Air and Jet airways plying from Delhi to Ahmedabad. Many trains depart from the four major stations in Delhi and it takes about 17 hours to reach Ahmedabad.

There are regular bus services from Delhi to Ahmedabad. AC and non AC sleeper and seater buses operate on a regular basis and the tickets will cost only around Rs. 280 to Rs. 500 for one trip. Though not feasible and tiring, Taxis are available to move from Delhi to Ahmedabad and the cost varies depending on the vehicle you choose. If you plan to drive in your own vehicle, it will take about 12 hours 30 minutes to cover the distance of 915 km depending upon the vehicle.
