Skin Care Treatment With Microdermabrasion

If you have ever been to a spa you have seen things like particle resurfacing, derma peel, Parisian peel, or power peel listed in their services. These stand for microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is all about exfoliation. The most common way is with a crystal tip. There is a newer more gentle way with a diamond tip available as well. The results are far superior to a home kit. Home kits are often harsh. You might be a good candidate if you want to treat the following problems, scars, acne, dark spots and sunspots. This method to achieve a youthful glow is all the rage in the skin care world so where can you get it done?

Generally you find this skin care option on the menu at day spas or medical spas. You will have the best results if you go with somebody skilled. The results will be best after about six treatments fourteen days apart. This treatment can be done with minimal discomfort and is easy enough to fit into your day. It can be pricey to do all the treatments. This can be adjusted for all skin types so someone with sensitive skin can benefit.

Basically if you choose the original crystal tip crystal particles will be blown onto your face and then quickly vacuumed up with dead skin cells. This method is quite effective as the action of the crystals blowing out of the vacuum removes more dead skin cells. The diamond option is the same only no particles are blown out. The diamond tip exfoliates. There are two to three passes made over each spot. The diamond tip procedure is far more comfortable and better for patients with sensitive skin.

It is important to remember that not everyone is a good candidate for any procedure. If you have recently had Botox you will want to wait at least seventy-two hours before having this procedure. You will also want to skip this procedure if you have diabetes, any cuts or any viral infections. After this procedure, you will want to be vigilant about sunscreen. The very nature of this treatment was to remove dead cells and therefore a protective layer from your face. If you decide to have this treatment be sure that the person administering it knows what they are doing.

Perhaps you should ask around to find out a place or person that someone recommends. If you have age spots, sunspots, acne, or any scars to reduce then this might be right for you. As with any skin care treatment be sure you understand the process.
