From Visakhapatnam take Ramnagar road, Jail road and Diamond park road to enter NH 5. After 217 km on NH 5 use Rajamundry Kovvur road (12 km), Khammam Devarapalli road (21 km), State Highway SH 44(41 km), Sathupally Aswarraopet road (35 km), Khammam Sathupally road (78.7 km), Surapetta Khammam road (58.7 km), NH 9 (131 km) and Koti Main road to reach Kacheguda in Hyderabad.

Taxi cabs will charge Rs 13/km to 55/ km from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad, depending on the vehicle. For a round trip the fare will be around Rs 2750/- for a Tata Indica and Rs 3800/- for a Toyota Innova.

Visakhapatnam is an important Railway junction on the east coast and Nampally railway station in Hyderabad is an important terminus for many express trains. There are nearly 20 express trains from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad and back. The distance of 690 km will be covered by express trains in 12 hours approximately. The fastest train, Visakhapatnam Seconderabad Durento will take just 9 hours 30 minutes.

There are international airports at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. From Visakhapatnam airport to Rajiv Gandhi International airport at Hyderabad flights are operated by Jet airlines, Jetlite, Spicejet, Indigo and Air India. The fares range from Rs 2785/- to Rs 3783/-
