States Requiring Write Online Courses In Law

Do you think to force K-12 students to attend at least one online courses is reasonable? As we have known that many states in United States are requiring online courses for high school graduates. The activity to write this requirement in law has aroused many different opinions. Some support, and some disagree and others suggest implementing the law functionally.

From last academic years research of Evergreen Education Group, we can see nearly 620,000 students took at least one online courses increased up 16% compared to previous year. As states aim to improve students ability to manage their study in digital world, they think students who have experience on online education will do better in their future college or vocational school education.

Alabama, Florida and Michigan already have laws on the books requiring virtual education for graduation. They think this will help prepare the students whether students are going to a four-year college, a technical college or going into the world of work, they will have to do some online courses. Many people share the same idea said it is necessary to write online courses requirement in law in the long run.

But some of them think to write in law are too aggressive, because they find it is not really so important for a student must to attend online courses before university. A reader on Education News mentioned, Since there are people offering to take an on-line course for you, what processes are in place to insure that the person taking the course and the person receiving credit for the course is the same person?

The rest part of people prefers to implement the law functionally. It depends on what kind of access students have to different providers in the state and also should take rural area students who did not have access to public infrastructure into consideration. Also lack of quality online tutors is also another big problem should be solved. Anyway, we can also find a good example for online courses requirement that is Florida. Students in Florida can choose among online learning programs offered by each of the state, their school district, and virtual charter schools approved by each state.

Of courses, the recent growth of online learning make it necessary for most American states to improve the requirement of online learning and online courses. But there is still a long way to go before online participation become requirement.
