Jaipur is located centrally on the National highway NH 8 between Delhi and Mumbai. NH 11 and NH 12 also pass through Jaipur city. Jaipur to Mumbai distance by road is 1185 km approximately and can be covered in 16 hours touching Ahmadabad, Vadodara and Surat. While driving from Jaipur to Mumbai, take National highway NH 8 from Jaipur (95 km), drive on through NH 79 (217 km), NH 76 (104 km) and back on NH 8 (240 km), catch Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express way (93 km) and SH140 (396 km) and Western Express highway to reach Mumbai.

Hiring charges for taxies vary from Rs 12/km to Rs33/km depending on the vehicle. For a round trip, taxi operators will charge around Rs 2700/- for an Indica non-a/c and Rs 3500/- for a Tavera a/c. Bus services are not available from Jaipur to Mumbai. A Volvo bus service started by Rajasthan Government stands cancelled as it is not financially viable.

There are 11 direct super-fast trains from Jaipur to Mumbai. The distance of 1147 km will be covered normally in 17 to 18 hours. 12240 Duronto Express will take just 16 hours 25 minutes for its journey. There are a few link trains connecting these cities.

Jaipur International airport is located in the satellite town of Sanganer, 10 km away from the city. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai has separate domestic and international terminals. There are 8 direct flights from Jaipur to Mumbai operated by Go airline, Indigo airline, Jet Konnect, Spicejet and Air India. Normal fare for economy class is Rs 5463/- to Rs 6500/- . Cheaper tickets are available for Rs 3000/- to Rs 3500/- at times. For an indirect flight fares will be Rs 7500/- to Rs 9000/-.
