Bangalore (now called Bengaluru), which is also known as the Silicon Valley of India, is the capital city of the South Indian state of Karnataka. While entering the Vrindavana, Guru Raghavendra Swami stated that he would be there (in the Vrindavana) for 700 years in all.

The distance from Bangalore to Mantralayam is around 388 km by road. It takes approximately 7 hrs and 10 min to cover this distance. There are numerous APSRTC buses available from Bangalore to Mantralayam. The ticket charge varies according to the type of bus preferred. Travelling by bus is recommended to youngsters and backpackers as it is not suitable for senior citizens and small children. However, it is not possible to fly from Bangalore to Mantralayam as there is no airport in Mantralayam. But both the cities are well connected by a good network of railways and roadways.

Apart from this, there are many express trains that ply regularly from Bangalore to Mantralayam on all days, taking around 9 hours to cover the journey. It is to be noted that the trains to Mantralayam depart from 2 stations in Bangalore - Bangalore Cy Jn (SBC) and Krishnarajapurm (KJM). Some of the popular trains that run along the route are Nagarcoil Exp (16339), Karnataka Exp (12628), Vivek Express (19568), Coimbatore Exp (11013) and Ned Sbc Exp (16593) among others. Online ticket reservation is also possible through the website of Indian Railways. It is the best mode of travel for those travelling with family consisting of small children and senior citizens.
