For the application of veneer, mm of tooth enamel is removed from the tooth surface. A veneer of an equal thickness is then prepared for the tooth. The decision to use anesthetic to numb the area around teeth should be taken in advance before having the tooth surface removed. Next, an impression of the tooth is taken so as make a model for veneer. This model is sent to a dental laboratory which sends the veneer beck after construction within 1 to 2 weeks.

After the proper examination of the veneer, its color, shape, size and fit, it is cemented on the teeth with the help of a high intensity light. After removing the access cement, evaluating sensitivity in bite and giving the final touches to the teeth, a veneer is said to be applied.
