The introduction of budget flights has made journey more popular. The city center is about 14 km away from Kolkata airport. From airport, you can take a taxi or bus to the city center. Though buses are operated from Mumbai, it will take two days to reach Kolkata and is very tiresome. Private operators provide AC sleeper buses. The tickets for these buses can be booked online. You can also book a cab or drive in your vehicle even if it is not practical always.
