subject: Public Library Available To Kids At Preschool Punggol [print this page]

Public libraries are a place that has something for everyone, from picture books for babies to encyclopedias and reference books. The library has the potential to fire a childs imagination. The childrens section in a library has books that will excite and stimulate the minds of the children attending kindergarten Punggol. Regularly attending the library will become a habit that you and the children will not want to break. The children will look forward to their visit. The anticipation of looking for more exciting tales that can be read to them or that they can read to themselves will be something they will look forward to.

The library helps to teach the children attending preschool Punggol about order and the importance of taking care of books, in other words: responsibility. The number of books and other items such as music CDs and film DVDs that a child can lend have increased significantly which means that the child along with the parents must learn to look after and not lose the items whilst in their care.

Public libraries, such as the Punggol South Community Childrens Library, are well positioned to expose children from nursery Punggol to great opportunities during the crucial preschool and elementary school years. Research shows that children need exposure to a wide variety of high-quality books of various topics, genres, and perspectives in order to acquire literacy skills. They also need books that reflect the diverse and multicultural nature of our society books in which they can see themselves and others like them. By taking the children from childcare center Punggol to their local public library, you are doing something really important: introducing them to the world of books. What better way to nurture their interest in finding out about the world around them. In the library, all knowledge is at their fingertips.

Punggol South Community Childrens Library was officially opened on 5 May 2001 by Mr Zainul Abidin Rasheed , Member of Parliament. One of a network of 18 Community Children's Libraries (CCLs), this is a joint project between NLB and the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) which aims to bring libraries closer to young children at childcare Punggol and to inculcate and promote the reading habit at an early age. The library is embodied in the colourful wall murals and furnishings. Punggol South Community Children's Library is located at the ground level of Block 124, Rivervale Drive, #01-181, Singapore 540124

Reading books is very helpful to children. You can encourage and inspire your child to read by taking him or her to the library. Research suggests that introducing children to the library at a very early age is a way to help them develop communication and reasoning skills that they will use later in their life. It is a way to introduce your child to the world of literature and reading. If your child is not yet enrolled in any of the childcare center in Punggol such as Mindchamps Punggol and Montessori Punggol, you can visit www.preschoolknowledge.com.
