Is there a right time to purchase a new Ford? Does timing come into play when it comes to buying a motor vehicle? Unless you need to buy a car ASAP, it is smart to wait until the dealer is feeling pressured to move his inventory off the lot. The dealer may want to unload his older Ford models to make room for new ones or he may have a quote to fill. Whatever the reason may be, timing is key when it comes to this type of purchase.

While other people are out at the stores looking for Christmas presents for their loved ones, don your Santa hat and shop for a new motor vehicle. Most people are not thinking about purchasing new automobiles as the year comes to an end. That is when you should make your move.

Some dealers decide to slash their prices in December because their inventory is moving at a slow pace. Look around and find a dealership that boosts a large inventory and is hoping to unload as many automobiles as they can before the start of the new year. The price for the Ford of your dreams is sure to be lower at this festive time of the year!

The months of July through October are when advertisements and promotions are on to push the older car models to make way for the newer ones. If you are all right with purchasing a model that is the current one for the year, as opposed to the newer model for the year to come, you can save yourself some money.

There are more savings to be had if you do your car shopping closer to the end of the month. After the 25th day of the month, dealers start to get a little antsy about making their quotas for the month. For this reason, as a prospective buyer, you are in a better position to negotiate a deal than you would be if you had looked at cars earlier in the month. The factory offers incentives to dealers for selling as many cars as possible, and the dealers do not want to lose out on these incentives. If you want a Ford, sharpen up your skills as a negotiator and go to it!

You may have more time off to do your thing once Saturday rolls around, but that is how all other Ford customers think as well. Dealerships are much busier on weekends and the potential for good deals is scarcer. But once a new week begins, the auto salespeople will be more anxious to find customers interested in buying. They will have more time to work with you and will be able to give you their undivided attention. Visit a lot on a Monday or Tuesday instead, preferably near day's end.
