Great Ideas for Children's Wedding Favors

Inviting children to your wedding means you will need to take some time to come up with different wedding favors especially for them. Of course whilst most children will enjoy chocolates or candies, it is unlikely they will enjoy a bud vase or scented candle in quite the same way.

Some thing else to consider with children at weddings is trying to keep them interested in everything that is happening or keeping them distracted with something while the boring bits are happening! That is where coming up with creative ideas for children's wedding favors will pay dividends.

Wedding favors for children don't have to be expensive or cost more than favors for your grownup guests. Consider things like small games or puzzles which will see them occupied while the photographs are happening. This is a good idea to ensure parents are not struggling to keep uninterested children peaceful or well behaved and you are not worried about misbehaviour or unwanted interruptions.

Naturally the best solution would definitely be to offer wedding favors which are suitable for all ages, but this could confine you to safe choices such as edible favors like cookies or candy lollipops. Consequently, parents may not be overly happy about their children filling up on sugary candies and conversely this type of favor doesn't really provide a solution to the problem of occupying them.

Checking party stores both online and on the high street is a great way to find stuff for your children's favors. You can often buy at discounted prices if you are purchasing in bigger quantities and you will find there is a good choice of games and toys for all age groups. With packaging it is a good idea to keep it simple with things like cellophane bags, printed loot sacks or practical food containers like gable end boxes which will hold a good number of odd sized objects! If you need to produce wedding favors for a wide range of children's ages put name tags on them so you can identify whose is whose.

One more alternative to keeping children occupied is to arrange a separate table for them all to sit at (check with parents first that it is ok), I advise that only children of four years old or more sit on a separate table and it would be sensible to appoint the oldest youngster as table supervisor' who can keep the other's in line! Lay the table out with a bright white paper cloth and pots of pens, pencils and crayons so the children can draw on it. You might find custom printed cloths at party stores made for this purpose. Afterwards have it cut up so every single youngster can take their artistic creations home.
