The Shedding For The Wedding is a reality series competition, that will follow the 9 obese couples as they try to lose unwanted weight and also win a dream wedding. In this new reality series / competition organized by Sara Rue, nine obese couple with nine unique wedding themes included in the contest to win the wedding of their dreams.
10 couples pairs are facing different challenges to win a dream wedding, as well as their ideal weight. Some of the physical the games are similar to Biggest Loser, but some are related to marriage, such as a four-tier wedding cake to drive back and forth, and makes ballroom dancing. The awards are also about marriage as the invitations cake and the rings. Competitors are working trainers and nutritionists, while meeting a wedding planner. Couple's with the lowest amount of weight loss at the weigh-in would be eliminated. And the last one standing would be rewarded with a pair of wedding fantasy that the United States.

Episode synopsis:Dearly Beloved, We Are Gathered Here; This week the couples size each other up and get cut down to size by fitness trainers Jennifer and Nicky in grueling workouts. Size becomes an issue as the couples try on wedding gowns and tuxedos with wedding planner Brian Worley. The first wedding challenge is a dance-a-thon where the couple's will compete to win their fantasy wedding gown and tux. And one couple triumphs while another is sent packing in a tense "Til Death Do Us Part" elimination challenge.
In the first episode, the competitors have a dance-off to keep their heart rate up, with the winning team couple earning themselves their dream tuxedo and wedding dress. With all prices are subject to the wedding, modified to suit the taste of the couples in competition, are not the same goals in mind, what the competition very well together. The one-hour episodes includes challenges, a look into the system of family patterns, work sessions were intense and brief interviews with teams. Each episode ends with a weight of elimination, followed by a competition between the two worst teams in performance and, finally.
Latest CW's reality shows, Shedding for the wedding, revolves around 9 overweight engaged couples who have allowed romantic comfort get the best of their waistlines. With the upcoming wedding on the horizon, each pair dukes it out to see who can lose more weight, in percentage terms, in terms of their initial weight combined.
This series is hosted by actress Sara Rue, the engaged couples from all walks of life come to Los Angeles, where they live together and compete within three months. Couples will undergo a dramatic physical and emotional changes, on how they change their style of living and their eating habits under the supervision of a celebrity nutritionist Ashley Koff (RD). They will also support the grueling hours of physical activity world-class coaches, Nicky Holender and Jennifer Cohen.
Shedding for the Wedding hosted by Sara Rue will air on Wednesday February 23 at 9 PM on The CW.
