Article marketing, also known as "Bum Marketing" can be used in a few different ways to increase your profit online, one of these ways is to use your articles to lead the traffic they generate to affiliate offers. Article marketing, coupled with affiliate programs, can be a highly effective way to increase your bank account with little to no cost. Since we're focusing on free online money generation methods I'll use the example of affiliate marketing in my article marketing guide.
A simple overview of Article Marketing (For Affiliates):
Find a niche (market) that isn't saturated.
Choose a good product(s) with at least a decent affiliate commission relating to your niche.
Create a Landing-Site (squidoo lens/other web 2.0 property) that pertains to the niche you selected.
Include a well-written product review on your landing-site, which links to your affiliate page.
Do keyword research, looking for low competition long-tail keywords.
Write a number of articles for each low competition, long-tail keyword you selected.
Submit those articles to the various article directories on the web.
Get ranked decently on Google/Yahoo/MSN with those articles.
Get traffic to your articles & links andthen receive your affiliate commission.
Why do so many people use this method?:
You don't need to own your own product, website or email list.
Can be done for free so it is extremely low risk.
Helps build name recognition and branding.
Easy and almost foolproof way to gain traffic, leads or sales.
