Filipino Dragons (Singapore) teamed up with Letsshare.tv to launch a campaign for the latter's upcoming projects in Singapore and other neighbouring nations in Asia.

It started off when Letsshare.tv ambassador, Christian Elmo Helm, asked for a meeting with the Singapore based dragonboat team. Helm is a British volunteer at Letsshare.tv since October of 2009. The meeting at Hyde Bar in Boat Quay included Filipino Dragons (Singapore) Team Captain Jeffrey Tan and Vice President for Events, Sheryl Barbasa. Helm presented on the organisation's thrust and mission to the team's officers present at the meeting. Later on, he showed videos taken during medical missions, party cruise for the kids, and many other activities benefiting the kids of Cebu, Philippines.

Letsshare.tv is a non-profit organisation founded by a successful Dutch businessman, Eric van den Arend. Based in Cebu, Philippines, the organisation has since helped a number of charities in Manila, Bohol, Dumaguete and many other provinces in the Philippines. According to Arend, "we encourage people to visit our website and see our work with the many volunteers coming from around the globe."

The partnership with the Filipino Dragons (Singapore) kicked off last Saturday, 19 February 2011 at the Kallang Riverside Park where the team wore with pride the Letsshare.tv-Filipino Dragons (Singapore) t-shirt to show and encourage the students and professionals in the dragonboat community of the benevolent cause of the two organisations.

Filipino Dragons (Singapore) Vice President for Events said: "We are thrilled to have partnered up with Letsshare.tv as one of our main focus for this year is to reach out more to our countrymen in the Philippines, especially the impoverished and the disadvantaged Filipino kids." In 2010, The dragonboat team has organised a mini-Olympics among the team members and friends, from which the fees collected has benefited the Kid's Cove Foundation.

While Jennifer Macapagal, the team's official ambassador for charity projects, is very excited about the upcoming initiatives and pointed that, "This partnership hopefully captures the imagination and interest of dragonboat paddlers and fans not only in Singapore and the Philippines. We would also like to encourage other dragonboat teams to join on board."
