How to organise a genuinely bespoke holiday

When planning a luxury holiday, the term 'bespoke' frequently comes up- a word which means unique, for instance when buying a car you can often customise so many elements that it ends up completely unique. It's clear why bespoke if a desirable option, but is something so unique going to be achievable?

Well, evidently we'll need to look somewhere other than holiday companies offering packages this is a off the shelf complete solution' some people would book, but that's far from bespoke.

No we'll have to book transport, accommodation, and tickets for events/museums separately. It can take a little longer this way, but already getting our holiday together is sounding more fun.

If we're going to fly, this is very rarely going to be bespoke, apart from if you have a large budget or your own airplane!. But as we're not restricted to using one tour operator, we are now able to choose a departure and arrival time and destination that suits you, and then see who can fly between. As we're also not tied to any specific flights company we are able to fly out with one carrier at a time that suits you best, and fly back on another carrier if they have a more suitable return time arranging these flights seperately allows for freedom in our plans.

Booking a place to stay, hotels are far from bespoke you might have a luxury room but it's going to be one of lots of identical rooms. A smaller hotel counld sometimes offer a personal touch, but hotels everywhere in the world usually conform to a routine, standard appearance that you could not call bespoke. If you want something that is really unique and tailored to your choice, booking a holiday villa or apartment rental is going to offer much more - holiday villas are a great solution. You can have more personal space, a unique location, and if you want a sauna and a Jacuzzi you will be able to find one that matches those features and they'll be totally private for your use so you don't are guaranteed to be able to use it any time you want and in privacy. For meals times, and other accommodation based routines you have absolute control. You can arrange to have food cooked for you, or manage the food yourself.

Now onto the fun part, what you'll do on your holiday - for organising activites, you may miss out on the savings of bulk' buying tour operators but this also gives you a bonus - you don't have to wake up really early and crowd onto a coach with dozens of people instead pick your own time and place and then you can have perfect personal experience. If you're staying in a holiday home it is worth asking the home owner to help as they can often advise on fun things to do and may be able to get a discount

All of this may seem like hard work, but if you know what you want and you know what you like, then part of the fun of creating your own luxury holiday is planning out something completely tailor made and enjoying life off the beaten track. Escaping the trappings and humdrum of the routine and mass market and giving yourself a truely bespoke holiday.
