The Most Important Events In Rimini And In The Neighborhood

If the summer holidays are just a memory of happy times spent on the beaches of Rimini, Riccione and of the fun on the Riviera Romagnola, there is nothing better than to browse the photo album until the next summer season 2010.

While waiting for the next beach holiday, we also have the possibility to visit numerous exhibitions in Rimini, in the new fair district and visit the various stands both for business reasons or just personal curiosity. Indeed Rimini and the whole Riviera are places that are now teeming with activities and events throughout the year, not only in summer for tourists.

In all months beautiful fairs are organized, in October, for instance, we point out GIOSUN, from 8 to 10 October the International Fair of Toys and Games in the open air; and again TTG meetings, from 16 to 18 Fair of B2B touristic sector; or Ecomondo from 28 to 31 October the International Fair if Material and Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development.

Apart from the fairs, there are a lot of other events really worth following in Rimini and in the surrounding municipalities. Such as the beautiful spectacle of the dancing fountains in Piazza Primo Maggio in Cattolica, which will take place October 3 to 28 every week end from 9:30 pm.

Or also the exhibition From Rembrandt to Gauguin and Picasso, that hosts in Castle Sismondo the masterpieces of the Museum of Fine Arts of Boston and will be held from 10 October to 14 March. These 65 works, or maybe it would be better to call them masterpieces, of European painters from the sixteenth to the Twentieth century that reach Rimini, as an exclusive in Europe. In the same dates Castel Sisimondo, in addition to these masterpieces of the Museum of fine Arts in Boston, has also a second exhibition, dedicated to Italy. The intention of the curator, Marco Goldin, is the willing to devote a place to those Italian painters who represented, trough beyond seventy works, the landscape in Italy today. Thirty-six contemporary artists, known and unknown, who have impressed on canvas their nation, ranging from figuration to abstraction to informal.

Another unique and not to miss event in Rimini is the play of Marco Travaglio, to be held October 31 at the 105 Stadium in Rimini. The well-known journalist, author ad writer who recently received the award of the German press for his efforts aimed at bravely defending press freedom, will be the star of the evening, drawn from Promemoria, that describes the facts occurring from the years of Tangentopoli until today.

In the story of Travaglio the events of the last fifteen years of Italian chronicles parade: Tangentopoli, the massacres of the mafia, the crossed blackmails of policy, the attack to the Constitution.

Also from 23 to 25 October, at the Novelli theatre in Rimini, it will be host a special event dedicated to young people. The theme of 2009 edition is The nomad power, values, illusions, hopes of the errant youth. From the cultural and artistic expression to fashion and to young languages, from job insecurity to alienation, from the political commitment to volunteer work, a journey into the universe of young generations in the Third Millennium that today actually and metaphorically are living a wandering condition, of aimlessly movement in the territory of virtuality, ideology and culture.

Communication professionals, sociologists, artists, TV stars, businessmen, emerging stars of economy and politics will be present at this meeting to discuss the perspectives and expectations of young people and every latitude and put forward proposals for greater involvement of youth in the dynamics of economic, social, technological and cultural change.
