Review of the Ipod Touch (Itouch) An Incredible Portable Device

I've got a confession to make... I don't usually stay on top of the latest technology. I'm usually a wait and see kind of person. I like to make sure that all of the bugs have been worked out of stuff before I make a purchase.

I finally decided to make the plunge and purchase an iPod Touch. After all my wife has been using hers for years.

Let me tell you, this was one of the best investments I have ever made. I have gotten so excited about my iPod Touch. I decided to create write about this little device.

So what do you think about when you hear about an iPod Touch?

An elaborate mp3 player? A portable device so you can watch movies? Well, that's what I thought, too.

Sure the iPod Touch (i.e. iTouch) is certainly great for music and movies but it is so much more than just for listening to music and watching movies. A whole lot more. Much, much more.

If you just used your iTouch for movies and music, you are getting your money's worth. But there are so many more things you can do with it.

Let me explain some of the benefits. There are things that I am able to do that I never thought would be possible. and that is where the real value lies.

I want to give you an understanding, of why this has become my number 1 best technology purchase I have made in the last several years.

If you love music, you can upload and listen to all of your own music on the iPod Touch.

If you wish you can purchase music directly from iTunes. And the music available is staggering. No matter what your taste is in music, you can get everything you would ever want.

Here is an important benefit: You can also easily put all of the CD's you already own on your iTouch. You can even create your own custom playlists.

You can watch movies on your iPod Touch. Any movie and many television shows, can be easily downloaded into this device. Your iTouch can be your own portable movie theater. If you are traveling this can be an incredible benefit. For example, I just took a long flight. My iTouch became my best friend during my trip.

Plus you can get an attachment for your iPod Touch so it will plug directly into your TV.

If you have kids, you know how difficult it is for them (and you) when traveling. Kids have very short attention spans, and they get bored very easily. Our daughter (age 7) has used her iTouch for the last several years while we are on the road. Believe me this has really helped when we are on the road.

A huge benefit with the iTouch are all of the Applications (apps) that come already built into it.

There are a ton of free applications that come pre-installed with your iTouch such as a calculator, an address book, a note taker, a way to connect with iTunes, and many more. You can also download hundreds of free applications from iTunes such as news readers, email, various reports, web browsers, Facebook, stock price updates, and of course games. There are an incredible amount of free applications

You are able to download many other things from iTunes. You can find classic and current television episodes (or the entire season) as well free podcasts. A podcast can be either an audio or a video.

The number of podcasts available is truly staggering. you can download podcasts about: arts, business, comedy, education, games, hobbies, government, health, kids, music, news, religion, science and medicine, society and culture, sports, TV and film.

Best of all you can discover all of these podcasts totally for free.

As you can see, the iPod Touch, is more than a glorified music and video player. And Believe me, I'm barely scratching the surface. There are a many more features and benefits, that I can't list them all here.

I hope I've given you a little taste of some of the huge benefits to owning your own iPod touch. You may be ready to invest in one yourself.
