A great driver with a low center of gravity. When hit perfectly, I've seen this driver add about 50 yards to my normal drives. It's a real distance booster, for sure. It's also a very sharp looking driver. Though the driver is forgiving, it performs best when hit very accurately. 4.5/5 Stars.

If you want to feel the raw power of crushing the ball off the tee, then this is the driver for you. For the distance addict, the TaylorMade Burner Driver is the fix. Sleek and speedy, the Burner uses TaylorMade's "Superfast" club technology to provide longer club length and an overall lighter weight (299 grams vs 320 grams), resulting in faster swing speeds and long-bomb power. Superfast Technology includes lighter, longer shafts, longer grips, larger more forgiving club heads, higher COR (coefficient of restitution represents the velocity of the ball before and after impact), higher launch angles, and lower spin rates. Through testing in its innovation lab, TaylorMade has been able to generate the following increases in distance through this technology:
+3 yards (2.74m) The TaylorMade Burner Driver uses an expanded MOI (moment of inertia the club's resistance to twisting at impact with the ball) across the club head for maximum forgiveness on miss-hits. The USGA limits the amount of the MOI because they feel that further increases to MOI could reduce the challenge of the game by reducing the skill required to hit the ball straight. So TaylorMade has expanded the area of the MOI on the club head, so that you can get the maximum allowable MOI across the face of the club pretty cool.
