An idea born on the beach in Brazil, Beach Tomato is the definitive new site on beach culture for women and men. Which beach and what to wear are the eternal questions for every wantaway sun-worshipper with an eye on the catwalks. Beach Tomato aims to be the bright new authority on beach culture, not solely uncovering emerging beauty and fashion trends, but also pulling together insightful and refreshing travel features from our roster of writers and leading contributors across the world - all in one place.

Beach Tomato was conceived by Tom Marchant, co-founder of the award-winning luxury travel company Black Tomato, whilst holidaying on a remote, idyllic beach in Bahia with Fashion Editor Kirsty Hathaway (GQ, Vogue and Company). It struck him that, despite its place at the heart of so many holidays, there wasn't a brand that could claim to be the ultimate authority on beach culture, showcasing not only where to go, but also the essentials that accompany the perfect beach trip, such as what to wear, what to read and what to listen to. Taking this idea forward over discussions on the beach, Kirsty realised that there was not only an opportunity to develop the fashion proposition further, but also to add key lifestyle elements to an online beach culture brand such as beauty recommendations and essential accessories.

Combining the best in hip editorial content with innovative technology and captivating imagery, Beach Tomato offers its visitors a savvy new brand of authority and encompasses relevant, tried and tested news and up-to-the-minute information. Featuring a series of leading professionals contributing their expertise across a wide range of disciplines, the content on the site is informed and informative, engaging and original.

The site is divided into five easily navigable sections: places, promenade, preen, play and people. Whilst reporting on the very best of beach fashion and beauty in the "promenade" and "preen" sections, Beach Tomato highlights locations in "places" and what to do there in "play", all the while combining innovative editorial with the travel know-how of award-winning sister travel company Black Tomato to take you there.
