Being weak is strength in most organizations these days. The definition of being weak is nothing but get les noticed, be away lime light, aspire nothing, do the job and get back home early, be happy with job, with the designation, with the increments, with incentives, never look or aspire for appreciations, be loyal to the organization and the boss etc. These are the weak traits considered to be strength in many organizations and in real sense such people with such qualities will go a long way in the organization. Yes, being weak is strength. Most organizations posture and nurse such people inadvertently. Some time consciously too. Such weak people become the strength of most bosses/organizations. Attrition rate will be extremely less in organizations that breed such people, no dissatisfaction, no mutiny at the end of financial year. HR has many things to show to the world about how great their organization is. Aspiration to become something and dissatisfied with what one has in a healthiest way in inevitable for the growth of the individual and growth of the organization. When saving or retaining the job becomes the primary task, aspiration takes the back seat. Self belief and improving/enhancing the performance capability should be the area every employee should focus every day. Once the confidence is gained, the fear disappears and aspiration starts leading them to height. How to define healthy dissatisfaction? And how dissatisfaction can be healthy? When we keep our self belief and our enhanced performance capability as base of our aspiration, the aspiration drive one to move to the next level. When such possibility does not happen, dissatisfaction spring. The dissatisfied employee invents his path and way to success if not in the same organization, elsewhere. The cause for such happening is dissatisfaction and which is healthy. Any dissatisfaction drive the person to move to the next level, achieve the level above than what is, will qualify to be called healthy dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, most employees move to the next organization thinking things will be different there. It is not the different organizations that matter, the mind set and inner aspiration that is the key to success. Enhanced performance potential and self belief is what one need.
