Taylor had been in Los Angeles' Cedar-Sinai hospital for six weeks with congestive heart failure, a condition with which she had struggled for some years and had recently suffered complications. The spokeswoman also said, "Taylor has been struggling against heart disease accompanied with other simultaneous complications for a few years, a couple of days ago her condition was once stable and we hoped that she could go home but something unfortunate still happened finally."
