On local time of March 23rd, American Actress Elizabeth Taylor, the twice Academy Award winner died at the age of 79. Her spokesman revealed this news to the public.

As a film legend Elizabeth Taylor is highly praised as a rare treasure in the film industry of the world. Having been striving hard in Hollywood for 60 years, she is commonly recognized as the figure with the strongest Hollywood features in the history of American cinema. Thus she is often crowned with the titles of "Hollywood Evergreen Tree" as well as "No.1 Beauty in the World".

"Taylor sat peacefully left the world in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of Los Angeles", as is quoted from Taylor's spokeswoman. Taylor had been in Los Angeles' Cedar-Sinai hospital for six weeks with congestive heart failure, a condition with which she had struggled for some years and had recently suffered complications. The spokeswoman also said, "Taylor has been struggling against heart disease accompanied with other simultaneous complications for a few years, a couple of days ago her condition was once stable and we hoped that she could go home but something unfortunate still happened finally."

It was reported that Elizabeth Taylor won the Oscar for Best Actress twice for her acting in Butterfield 8 in 1960 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf in 1966. She was named a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000.

In 1997, Taylor underwent a head surgery in order to remove a benign tumor from her brain. In recent years, Taylor's health condition has been getting worse and worse due to her heart and spine diseases. Also she has been also suffering from diabetes at the same time.
