Kendall Hunter To Meet NFL Teams

Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter was planned to talk with New England Patriots on Tuesday. He will also meet other NFL teams for the 2011 NFL Draft.

Kendall Hunter will visit to conduct a confidential workout with the New Orleans Saints. Later he will visit to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and San Diego Chargers. Hunter ran between 4.53 second and 4.46 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the NFL scouting combine and he ran a 4.52 at his campus Pro Day Workout. He played college football at Oklahoma State University in his senior year. He is also the Oklahoma State Cowboys fourth all time leading rusher.

The 22-year-old Hunter was the nation's seventh leading rusher with 119.6 yards per game with nine 100 yard rushing games in 2008. Hunter was the runner up to Justin Blackmon for the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Sources stated that, NFL teams are planning to pick him early in the second round draft in April, 2011. On the field, he could be used as both blocker and receiver. He played from John Tyler High School, where he rushed for 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior.

Hunter was the two time consensus All-American running back ranks fourth on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in all time rushing list with 4,181 yards including 37 touchdowns, he averaged 5.91 yards per carry in his career. Hunter is solid and very tough runner, who runs very hard and he can break some tackles on the field. He missed most of the games in 2009 due to his ankle injury but he is having good change of direction ability while running.
