My wife and I have two daughters who are both all grown up with kids of their own, but when they were little my wife and I would do everything we could to protect them from seeing and hearing things on television that we didn't think were appropriate.

We still did not want our girls to be exposed to foul language, extreme violence, or women wearing very little on TV. That's not the example we wanted our girls to follow.
