New Year's Day Parade. With an average of 10,000 participants each year, the parade begins at the Parliament Square and ends at Green Park on January 1. It passes the Regent Street, White Hall and Piccadilly The parade raises funds for charities from each of the London boroughs that participate within the parade.

London Marathon. The London Marathon has been held annually since 1981. Each and every April, 30,000 runners participate in this event and it's now known as the largest fun raising activity from the world. In 2006, the participants raised 41.5 million, which were given to charity.

Chelsea Flower Display. The Chelsea Flower demonstrate is held during May perhaps for five days by the Royal Horticultural Society inside Royal Hospital Chelsea. It began in 1911 as a humble present and now flourished into one on the most celebrated events in London.

Notting Hill Carnival. Because 1966, the Notting Hill Carnival is celebrated in Notting Hill London for two days in August. The carnival is led through the Carribean community residing and visiting London. People dress up in colorful striking costumes and parade the streets of Notting Hill.

London Film Festival. Celebrating its 53rt year, the London Film Festival may be the largest public film event in London. It screens 300 movies from 60 various countries every single October by the British Film Institute. What makes this event stand out will be the audience is getting encouraged to ask questions to the director and other staff about the movie.

Christmas Lighting Ceremony. As early as November, the streets of London are becoming lighted with colorful lights and blanketed with ornaments. This signals the beginning of Christmas within the city.
