My experiences with Flip products have been good ones. I purchased the original Flip and had a blast with it.I have experience also with past products such as the Flip HD Ultra and the Flip Mino. Each product increasingly became better. Then came the popular and much hyped iPhone 3GS. It took video; it wasn't HD video but it did a decent job. Thanks to a bunch of applications and the ability to upload on the go to the iPhone (and other similar smart phones); it posed a serious challenge to the Flip. Well now we do and it looks like Flip has gone in the direction of trying to make the Flip Slide HD Camcorder more useful on the fly.
Let's look at the specs for a second.

The interesting features to point out are the new sliding screen, which makes watching video very painless and accessible. The storage capacity is very reasonable for such a sleek package.
The camcorder/camera also comes with preloaded software that lets you edit, organize and share videos and photos on the computer and with the internet. This avoids the complication of having to edit your videos and photos on the computer with different programs after you upload. I've spent hours trying to fix red eyes, and sizing problems on pictures I've uploaded from my cell phone, and I'm sure you have as well.
The Flip Slide HD is surprisingly customizable, with hundreds of different covers and graphics you can easily attach to it. The default colors are nice, but you can also put thousands of different decals on your phone before you buy.
