They may also have second mortgages known as home improvement loans that, when added on to their already high mortgage payment every month, create a heavy burden they must find some way to pay each and every month. Getting more credit, especially credit cards, is easy but making those payments and rising interest rates, is proving extremely difficult for many. With this government grant program, recently enabled by the present administration headed up by President Obama, many are finding relief from their debts by applying for federal grants aimed at debt relief for citizens. This money, amounting to billions of dollars, is there for the asking (filling out applications). Keep in mind this money need never be paid back for it is a grant, not a loan.
