One of the most charming hill station located at the distance of 34 kilometers from Dehradun at the altitude of 2003 meters in the Garhwal Hills is Mussoorie. Mussoorie is also quite near to the major Hindi pilgrimage sites like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Rishikesh.

Special Delights of Mussoorie:

Gun Hill: The second highest peak of Mussoorie where people comes to enjoy the ropeway. The distance of ropeway is the 400 meters. The Gun Hill offers the exotic view of Himalayan range namely Banderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri group. During the days of pre independence there is always a gun mounted on the top of the hill, therefore the name is Gun Hill.

Kempty Falls: On the Yamunotri Road, 15 kilometers away from Mussoorie is the Kempty Falls at an altitude of 4500 feet. It has the record of being the most beautiful and the most prettiest waterfall of the on the most beautiful valley of Uttrakhand. The water is enjoyed by almost all the age group of people.

Reaching Mussoorie:

By Railways: Regular flights are operated from Jolly Grant Airport grom Delhi to Doon Valley. From Jolly Grant Airport one can easily get taxis and buses which plies to Dehradun and goes up till Mussoorie which takes around 2 and half hours.

By Railways: The nearest railway head from Mussoorie is Dehradun where Mussoorie Express link connects the place overnight.

By Roadways: The distance between Delhi to Mussoorie is 290 kilometers and from Dehradun to Mussoorie is 35 kilometers. There are many direct buses and taxis that ply from Delhi to Mussoorie. Majority of visitors also prefers to share taxis and and private taxis.
