Kovalam

This internationally renowned beach is one of the most popular beach hangouts in India. It is known for its extended coconut grooves with secluded palm fringed bays which never fail to provide tranquility to visitors. Kovalam Beach consists of three successive small crescent shaped beaches; the Lighthouse is southern most beach where visitors spend most of their time. The middle beach is called Hawah and the northern most is Samudra Beach which is the base of local fisherman. This beach is located 16 km south of Thiruvananthapuram the capital city of Kerala.

Varkala

It is one of the famous beaches which is located 54 Km north of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. The remote location and peaceful environment of this place summons tourists who want to enjoy their solitude with nature. This beach is also referred as Papanasam beach' due to a belief that a dip in the holy water of this beach washes away body impurities and sins. The popularity of the nearby mineral springs of this beach lead to the emergence of several Ayurvedic Resorts and Nature Care Centers which also attract tourists who want several medicinal therapies.

Cherai

This is 15 km long beach of Kerala which is located 45 km from Ernakulam city. It is an ideal beach where tourists can enjoy swimming in the azure sea. Dolphins are also occasionally seen here. This place is blessed with thick and dense coconut groves with some captivating Chinese fishing nets. The newly added 400 meters long pavement and the Highmask lamps add extra charm to this place. During a visit to this place tourists can enjoy the mouth lingering fresh sea food.

Some of the other known beaches of Kerala are Fort Kochi, Alappuzha, Bekal, Beypore and Dharmadam Island.
