How To Share on Christmas Season

How To Share on Christmas Season

The magic word at this time of year for most people is the mention of Christmas, the gifts and merrymaking that comes along with this special holiday. Children at school write their wishes and some even make their letters so elaborate that a teacher may be tempted to display it in class. One could say that you can see what Christmas is, through a child's eyes. This is the innocence and purity, of what Christmas is all about. The unadulterated joy and happiness that comes from within, makes it more special.

So, what can you do to make Christmas pleasant for other people? There are different things parents could do and encourage their children take part in it. One of these things is volunteering during this very special holiday. There are many activities that encourage churchgoers to participate. Charity events are also common this time of year. There are groups that offers free feeding program to the homeless and this usually happens throughout the season.

We can also raise money from things we no longer use, and we can donate the proceeds afterwards or we can ask our children to gather all the things they do not want anymore like books, clothes, shoes and toys and give to other kids who could still use those. As for mom and dad they could think of donating old books too. Old college books may come in handy to people who are unable to go to school. Definitely, clothes that might be too small are also accepted for donation as well as shoes or even old appliances that are still functional.

Another activity is visiting patients in hospital. This becomes extra special when done during this season, because the spirit of Christmas becomes stronger. It is the time when most patients are lonely, especially when family members are far away. You can make a personalized Santa letter to a particular child who suffers the most difficult condition. You may never know how much it can mean to her or him. It is certainly a little gesture but the effect can become monumental to the receiver.

The whole family could visit their grandparents and their friends as well. This is the best way of spending Christmas because everybody is present. Old people become happier when their family still come and visit them especially during the holidays. It brings back memories when they were still young and somehow still with the whole family. Getting together is exciting. It is the time for catching up with our loved ones whom we are not seeing regularly. It is a great time for bonding.

Children can become a special part of other children's lives when they get to visit orphanage. This makes children realize how lucky they are having parents, a brother or a sister all together in one house. This activity may or may not be a big part of a child's future but at least they have been a part of a special occasion at this particular time in their lives. Parents may ask their older children to make personalized letter from Santa to be sent with gifts to orphans. It can make difference to the eye of an orphan knowing that Santa still remembers her wherever she or he is.
