When Marriage Involves Cheating
A marriage that involves cheating is a marriage where issues with trust, communication, and respect have left and will take patience and understanding in order to be repaired. A marriage that consists of these issues will not be an easy one to deal with.
In many cases the betrayal has caused the love to be questioned and a heart filled with hurt and pain is never the same. There are many victims here that become trapped in this circle of lies, because one decided that cheating was the best solution to a problem that could have been solved another way.
The decision to cheat becomes much easier than simply communicating your problems to one another. Often the decision to cheat leads to a lack of trust, respect, and love; which is a determining factor in a marriage continuing. Not to mention, the decision to cheat is not just morally wrong, but nothing good comes out of it.
An individual's disrespect for God and others also lead to this type of behavior. In many cases, once the trust is broken trusting each other now becomes a huge challenge, along with the possibility of other conflicting issues that contribute to this betrayal.
Cheating in a marriage is very costly and can cause a marriage to end up in divorce court and a family's closeness to become rather distant. Forgiveness is also a main reason why marriages despite cheating don't survive. Although you might choose to forgive, the fact that you still hurt makes it difficult to heal and move on.
In the end, whatever decision you make, just remember to be honest with your feelings and the relationship. Be forever mindful that your heart may allow you to forgive, but your mind won't let you forget when it comes to a decision to stay together or separate.
