A Must See Nightclub In Sydney - Favela - Review

In Brazil, a favela is a slum where water is dirty and poverty runs rife. But there is nothing dirty or poor about Sydney's, Favela nightclub.

Opened in 2007, this is a place where all the best parts of Brazil are showed off and boy, do they present them well! The DJ, who sits under a traditional-looking palm tree spins sexy house. Yes, the music throbs around the club like a pulsating vibrator, and yes, it serves the place well.

Decor is a mix of glass light fittings and brass features throughout the place. Red lighting is soft, yet lively. We lounge away on the gold and white ottamans a Bloody Mexican in one hand, a chicken and coriander dumpling in the other. The cocktail is a mix of soda water, tequila, blood orange sorbet and lemon juice. It is loaded well. The dumpling, is moist and tasty.

If your up for a traditional Brazilian meal, and you love meat, the chorrasco is just for you. Imagine stacks and stacks of meat and seafood cooked and served on sticks. You might also be able to snag yourself a salad and a bit of rice too.

When your done eating and working around the cocktail list, head up to the second level and have a dance. A second bar serves patrons well and so does the dance floor. While this area of the club is quite small and gets hot rather quickly, you are sure of a great time. What more could you want out of a night? Great music, nice nosh, top cocktails and a party with beautiful people.

Favela Nightclub, with it's fantastic modern decor and dancefloor is the place to be for the under 25's looking to party the night away in Sydney's famous King's Cross precinct.
