Things To Know Before Traveling To Kuala Lumpur

Whether you are traveling on a business trip or taking a vacation, Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer. In order for you to have the best experience possible, there are a number of things you need to consider before you start your journey. This short guide will give you the basic information that you need to know.

The climate in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia as a whole is equatorial, where the temperatures remain fairly constant throughout the year. During the day, the temperature goes to about 32 degrees Celsius and at night it drops to around 22 degrees Celsius. You should therefore pack light clothes that you are comfortable in. If you plan to go to the highland areas, then it is a good idea to include some lightweight wool clothing. If you want to bring any electronic devices, it should use between 220 and 240 volts.

Although the official religion in Kuala Lumpur is Islam, other religions are also freely practiced, with the most common ones being Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sikhism and Christianity.

The main gateway to Kuala Lumpur is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which is at Sepang, 75 kilometers away towards the south of the city center. It takes about one hour to drive to the city center. There are two main buildings at the airport, namely, the Satellite Building and Main Terminal Building. The Satellite Building is where international flights arrive. The Aero train goes to the Contact Pier at the International Level.
