3 ways to make your office look Christmasy

Work is a boring place to be, isn't it? Nobody likes being at work, especially at Christmas time. Rather be home with your beautiful Christmas tree and sparking tinsel? Well, don't worry. It might not be the same, but you can still Christmas up your office with a few decorations that'll keep you going even through the darkest of office hours. With a bit of precision and careful planning, you'll wake up each morning with a smile on your face actually wanting to go to work, for once!

One way to "cheer" your office up at Christmas is to drape EVERYTHING with tinsel. Computers, photocopiers, scanners, shredders, you name it, it can be tinselled. A little bit of tinsel goes a long way since it's so glittery and sparkly. You could sneak in early one morning and cover everyone's computer monitors with colourful tinsel they'll appreciate the sentiment, if nothing else! It'll make your office nice and Christmasy, and it'll also bring some colour to that dull "grey-wash" look of any boring everyday office.

Another reason for you to go in early you could write each of your fellow workmates some letters from Santa. They could be for them, for their kids, for their partner, whoever you choose. Not only will it leave them a bit confused and mystified, they'll also be impressed that someone went through that trouble for them and will have a much better day because of you.

Alternatively, you can put ornaments or lights on your desk and other peoples desks just remember to get their permission first! Christmas lights are the number one decoration and you can get so many different colours and designs these days that it'll take your whole weekend just choosing! You can get little robins or reindeer or mini Santa's and snowmen pretty much anything related to Christmas can now be found in light form.

Offices are dull at the best of times, never mind at Christmas, a time of year for cheer and sparkles and glitter and colour, so why not take that to the office? Just make sure you've received the proper permissions from your boss or management before doing any DIY Christmas decor, otherwise you might find yourself in a bit of trouble when the CCTV catches you planting a frolicking reindeer on the boss's desk!
