Pallet Lifter & Inspector

Pallet Lifter & Inspector Reconditioned pallets are often seen by logistics & shipping companies as an attractive alternative to new pallets. Advantages of reconditioned pallets include, cost, exemption from the packaging waste regulations and are quite often more readily available than new pallets. The process involved in reconditioning pallets can quite often be a time consuming and tiresome operation. In many cases, workers are expected to lift, inspect and stack200 pallets an hour, along with repairing any pallets that are damaged. As well as being a physically draining process, many workers are at risk of lower back strain injuries as well as cuts to their hands and arms. The Pegasus Pallet Lifter & Inspector is regarded by the pallet manufacturing industry as an excepted solution to overcoming the difficulties associated with reconditioning pallets. The lifting system consists of a specially designed fork attachment, which is connected to a standard Pegasus Lifter. The lifter can be powered by either a 3 phase electrical supply or simply connected to an existing compressed air supply, making it suitable for both indoor and outside use. Pallets may be raised to a workable height, hovered, before being positioned and lowered down in the relevant stack. In the hover position, it is possible for an operator to fully inspect the pallet for damage as well as remove any remnants of packaging or general waste which may still be attached. The almost effortless and quick nature of the pallet lifting system, will allow operators to lift and inspect up to 1,400 standard euro pallets in a seven hour shift.
