The Problem With Female Hair Loss And What You Can Do About It

Losing your hair is never an easy experience. For men it presents many challenges on an emotional level, but for women it can be devastating. While its perfectly okay for a guy to walk around bald, for a woman its somehow unacceptable. So, what can you d about it and is there a permanent solution?

Women lose their hair for a variety of reasons. The biggest reason for female hair loss is hormonal and just like men a certain age triggers hormonal changes. Whether these changes are because of age or because of life changes it unknown but in many cases hormonal treatments, a change in diet and some topical treatments can help a lot.

While men lose hair only at the top of the head, the balding pattern for women is much more problematic. Women don;t just lose patches of hair. They lose it gradually all over the scalp and it generally just starts thinning out until there is very little to work with. Reversing this pattern is not easy and in general the problem tends to get worse once it sets in.

As a first port of call you need to see your doctor when you start noticing a thinning of your hair. Checking on hormonal balances is one of the first and most important steps. If the problem persists you can start looking into laser treatments, topical treatments and even hair transplant surgery. In most cases you can you don't need to go to the extremes of surgery, but for some it is the last resort.

Basic adjustments in your diet, combined with topical treatments and laser treatments can be very effective.
