Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show in Washington D.C will Host Racheal Ray, Paula Deen and Bobby Flay
Opening day is November 13th-14th with show hours running from 10am-7pm on Saturday and 10am-5pm on Sunday. A variety of Celebrity Chefs will be on hand to entertain and educate,a new genre called "edutainment". Rachel Ray will be on the main stage along with Paula Deen and Bobby Flay. Rachael Ray will appear twice on Sunday only and Bobby Flay and Paula Deen will both appear on Saturday and Sunday.
Each celebrity is also offering photo opportunities and book signings. General addmission is $22.00 this will get you admittance to the show floor where over 300 vendors from around the country will set up their booths to sell culinary related items.
One such vendor from Winter Haven Florida is Vigoa Cuisine: The makers of The Canary Island Garlic and Herb Olive Oil. These chef/owners of Cafe Latte Coffee House and Eatery in Winter Haven Florida are doing cooking demos every 30 minutes the entire length of the show. Miriam Vigoa
the creator of the Canary Island Olive Oil brought her family's 200 year old tradition to the United States and has been making it for retail sale for 8 years. Recently, The Whole Foods Markets in Florida have started carrying The Canary Island Garlic and Herb Olive Oil. Vigoa will be doing their signature "Easy Recipes for the Busy Family" such favorites as Cuban Picadillo and Easy Appetizers that don't make a mess! Stop by the booth T47 at the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show this year 2010 and ask for a sample of the Canary Island Garlic and Herb Olive Oil. It's sure to get your tastebuds in an uproar!
Other activities that will be available at this years Metrocooking Show will be wine and food pairing seminar featuring Top Chef participant Carla Hall. Halll will be presenting several different wine pairing techniques, along with Laura Forster on Novemeber 13th. Hall who won the hearts of America while a contestant on Top Chef has parlayed her love for food into Catering
company turned manufacturer of savory treats. Her new company is Alchemy by Carla Hall.
Anna Reeves founder of Tiny Chefs will be teaching the art of cupcakes to children in one of her cooking demos. Reeves is passionate about teaching children 3-14 years of age the art of cooking. Although she holds degrees in eaducation her passion bloomed in the kitchen. She will appear
on both days to present "Hello Cupcake" in the kids only area.
