Travel to Thailand

It would seem that the history of Thailand has nothing common with the history of Europe. But few people know that Thai volunteers participated in the First World War. Thailand is a country of smiling people. And the smiles of the Thais are not standard masks of stressed Americans or polite Europeans. On contrary, Thai mimics is absolutely natural and shows that there is peace in smiling man's soul and his sincere desire to make your mood a little better. Here harmoniously coexist eastern exotica and modern cities, traditional markets and luxury shops, patriarchal family relations and modern etiquette. One can find a lot of interesting facts in Thailand history. So during one decade the country changed its name three times: Siam-Thailand-Siam Thailand. In the First World War Siam joined the antigerman coalition, and the Thai nurses cared for the wounded on the Western Front in Europe. And by the way exactly after this war Thais began to greet each other with a word, which corresponds to our usual "hello". Prior to this greeting was expressed with a question: "Aren't you hungry?" In Thailand there are more than 30 thousand Buddhist temples, many of them are ancient (XIII-XIV centuries). They survived, probably because their homeland has never been conquered or colonized.
