Why cheap? Because I am not in the position to spend money on real equipment, a studio or... a teacher for that matter. And I have tried allot of ways to go around this. There are computer programs like Fruity Loops or Dance E-jay that are nice to play with and you can make some nice beats with them, awesome tracks and fun effects. Right. But that only if you have knowledge or experience in music production and, again, only with the expense of a nice sum of money.
So, how can anyone even attempt to create their own tunes? The answer came to me one night. It was late and it was raining, the window was cracked open and a raven flew in... Hmm, wrong story. Actually I was looking around the internet as some of you probably were when stumbling upon this article and I found this amazing program called DubTurbo. It is has the name Turbo in it because you learn to use it really fast and can just as quickly come up with original beats and songs that you can write on a CD or export as mp3 to brag about to all your friends and family... Not sure about the name part, but the rest is true.
Thousands of samples, professionally mastered, that are simply waiting to be picked. The tutorials make it easy to learn the basics and once you've tried it out and made you very first original hip hop beats or dance music, you can go deeper and fine tune everything about it. You can even add your own sounds. It is in all sense the equivalent of a DAW (digital audio WorkStation) on your computer.
And moreover, you get monthly updates, new beats to pick from. Endless possibilities in creating your own music and it's cheap.
By the way, DubTurbo can even ease some that financial strain, which keeps coming up in this article and in everyday life. This is something I am dying to try out. I'm not even sure I should tell anyone else about it... But I will. Once you have your own creation, be it an urban beat, electronic music or whatever makes you happy, you can post your tune for sale in the Members Marketplace Area.
