Have you ever fished with your kids? It is a fabulous way to get close to them and find out about their interests and what excites them as they do something with Mom or Dad or Uncle. When you consider fishing with your kids, please go after fish that are plentiful and bite on your bait frequently. I have had the fun of fishing with each of my three kids and also fishing with many of my grandkids. And, you know what? They remember those times to this day and my kids are all grown up and have families of their own now.
I am always pleased to hear my children relate 'fishing' stories to their children. They still have fond memories of those times and as a result of their stories, have gotten to go fishing with their children. And, thank goodness, it has also given me to fish with them as well.
My wife and I enjy a close family. We are separated geographically, but not personally. Our kids are close to us and they love their parents. Now, our grandkids are close to us as well and a grandparent could not put a price tag on that no matter how hard we would try! I know we did many things that made that happen - beside fishing together, but that was a part of it for sure!
