Microdermabrasion: Noninvasive Skincare Treatment!

In the quest for vibrant and youthful skin, both men and women share a common desire to look their best, regardless of age. Various traditional options such as laser resurfacing to chemical peels to dermabrasion may not be the right therapy to address your specific concerns. Microdermabrasion was evolved as an alternative to these more invasive procedures.

Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening cosmetic surgery procedure that involves safe and controlled removal of the outer, dead layers of the skin. The remaining skin is more fresh, smooth and rejuvenated. The cosmetic surgeon uses a device like a fine sandblaster to spray medical grade micro crystals. These tiny crystals are propelled at a high speed across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. As with other skincare techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation. After treatment, you may safely apply make-up and continue with your normal daily activities. Uses of microdermabrasion:

1. To make skin tone smooth and softer with a healthy glow.

2. To improve skin colour for patients with altered pigmentation.

3. To reduce or diminish large, unsightly pores or acne scars.

4. To diminish the appearance of stretch marks.

5. To reduce the severity and frequency of acne breakouts.

6. To reduce wrinkles and fine lines for a younger appearance.

If you avoid showing your legs because you have spider veins like small clusters of red, blue or purple veins that appear on the thighs, calves and ankles, then you are not alone. It is found that at least half of all women are bothered by this common cosmetic problem. You can opt for cosmetic surgery to eliminate your spider veins and improve your appearance. If leg veins are the problem, your health care specialists may diagnose you for signs of "deep vein" problem, as well as for larger, varicose veins.

Leg veins or spider veins can be treated with a laser. An intense beam of light is directed at the spider vein, which abolish it through the skin. Typically, two or more sessions are needed to obtain the desired results. However laser therapy can also be used in combination with sclerotherapy. When selecting a cosmetic surgeon for spider vein treatment, remember that your comfort with him or her and the surgeon's experience are just as important as the final cost of the procedure.
