Many organizations consider time management the most important constraint or goal in managing a project. Operational managers tend to make project management synonymous to time management. Often you will see a functional or operational manager appear with a schedule of tasks with a list of completion dates and call it project management. While it is noble to ensure the efficient time management of projects, a list of things to do is not project management. There is more involved in time management when it comes to project management. Many perfunctory steps and inputs enable a project manager to define, estimate, develop and control activities and schedules.
