subject: Cancer Treatments Like The Transplants Of The Bone Marrow [print this page]

Starting with the first century AD, tending to the sick was the duty of women in religious orders. As a young child Saint Marcella was heavily influenced by Saint Athanasuis leading her to devote her life to works of Christian charity when widowed after only seven months of marriage. Her palatial home on the Aventine Hill was turned into a center for Christian fellowship and learning. When you are taking your course you can expect to have a classroom learning environment as well as hands-on training for practical knowledge. These practicals will essentially require you to put in a specific number of hours at medical institutions actually looking after patients. Your hands-on training will be supervised by professionals.

Some complexities of nurse scheduling dilemmas are the demand of a nurse service varies each day and worst some are skill specific. It would really very difficult to predict what day would appropriate to have more nurses in the hospital. Nurse skills also varies there are one who were trained for Intensive Care Units, therapy aides, etc. What never ceases to amaze me is how the upper management in this field considers patients as "stats." Patients are not stats and they sure are not customers. They are individuals who need medical treatment. They deserve to have a nurse who can take care of them properly.

A typical work week in Saudi Arabia is 48 hours with nursing shifts lasting 8 - 12 hours, depending on the staff rotation guidelines of the particular hospital. Overtime pay is usually offered. A generous 4 - 10 week paid vacation based on annual employment is an added benefit. Some hospitals also offer paid holidays and sick leave, free medical insurance, travel allowances, cell phones, and bonuses on completion of the travel nursing contract. However, there are some nurses who focus their job to the children who suffer from the cancer. Those kinds of nurses may become a pediatric oncology nurses. Meanwhile the other nurses focus their job to the specific cancers or some specific cancer treatments like the transplants of the bone marrow.

Unfortunately, travel nursing isn't as easy as packing your uniform scrubs and comfortable shoes. Traveling can drain the body period, and nursing is an extremely demanding job as it is. It's a lot of hard work and it also means that the nurses may not get to find themselves a firm home. Most travel nursing position are of limited duration. If you sign up to be a travel nurse you may be able to leave the majority of your uniform scrubs at home as many hospitals will provide nursing uniforms. Check with your agency to see if this is one of the benefits of your job. However, if you have a favorite brand of nursing scrubs such as Cherokee scrubs or Dickies scrubs you may want to take them with you as availability in Italy is not guaranteed.

Over the past few years, hospitals and doctor's offices have become less stringent on what you can wear. Walk into a peditrician's office, nurses are wearing scrubs with Sesame Street characters on them, or walk into a dentist's office and you will see beautiful flower patterned scrubs. It's nice to see that times have changed, as they should have. No longer do you have to sit in an office with mundane looking uniforms or scrubs.
