Be a Better Parent: 10 Parenting Lessons You Should Learn

With all my experiences, I had thought that I could be ready for anything. After every failure I have always felt renewed, with more energy and enthusiasm to take on the world. I just wonder why today nothing could have ever prepared me from being a parent. There is no education in life for parenting, no experience to be gained. One day you are just a parent. And on that same day you just have to be ready.

Parenting is a relentless, sometimes thankless tough task. But at the same time it is also the most rewarding experience any person could ever have. Whether you're an expecting parent, a new parent or an Octo-mom, here are 10 Parenting Lessons You should know.

1. You can fail on everything else but you cannot fail as a parent.

2. Simply being a Mom or a Dad is very different from being a Parent.

3. Good parents do not exactly equate to successful children but I bet it increases the chances.

4. There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it. - Chinese Proverb

5. Do less correcting and More Connecting.

6. Children need More Presence than presents.

7. Never raise your hand to your kids. It leaves your groin unprotected - Red Buttons =)

8. If you feel like yelling at your child, count to ten. Sometimes you are a child yourself.

9. Whenever something is going wrong with your children, Respond, don't react.
